Salty air, salty hair
I was daydreaming about a recent trip to Mexico while I was in the local garden center...the lush greenery, the humidity, my frizzy hair...isn't it funny how your hair frizzes differently in salty air? It is somehow more 'beachy' and 'mermaid-y', but without the salt it's basically a Pomeranian in desperate need of a haircut.

Make your dreams come true
#Frizzyhairdontcare I also daydreamed about the beach, the ocean, and all the fresh guacamole you could ever want...so I decided to turn my dreams into reality...tonight we are making Mexican! Chips, guac, margs, the whole nine!

Shake it up!
Mix me up a margarita! I love a classic margarita made simply with loads of fresh lime...shake up your own with this recipe:
Rim your glass with coarse Kosher salt
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine:
1.5 oz silver tequila
1 oz orange liqueur (Cointreau, Grand Marnier, or Triple Sec)
1.5 oz freshly squeezed lime juice (about 1 whole lime)
Strain over rimmed glass with ice
If you prefer a sweeter version, add agave nectar or simple syrup to taste
What are you TACOing about?
I love tacos, (who doesn't?), but what I love most about them is that they are so versatile...fish tacos, street tacos, shrimp, veggie, classic beef...and they are pretty easy to put together with ingredients you often already have, and are a real crowd-pleaser. Don't have taco shells or tortillas? Make it a taco bowl. Simply combine all of the "stuff" you'd put in your taco, add an extra handful of greens, and voila! a taco bowl.

It's the little things
Today my imagination transported me to a place I love and I came home to make a fun and yummy dinner with someone I love. I realized, especially in times like these when travel is non-existent and the world feels different, that it is easy to find joy in the little things. Simple pleasures are the best pleasures...but with extra guac!
